Friends watch black screens while doing tougher jobs like gaming. It works okay when the graphics card is under stress, but it gets weird sometimes. I think you're referring to the graphics part of his system, not the CPU. If you're looking at the card details, CPU-Z indicates integrated graphics are missing. For anyone with similar setups in the future, I heard someone upgraded to Windows 11 and their machine ran smoothly for five days straight—this is the best duration they've seen. I don’t recall what we were discussing. I’m considering an RX590 setup, which would be a Polaris graphics card. (Polaris is quite outdated) That could turn the system into something like a 480 with a laggy driver. Perhaps I was thinking about CPU-to-GPU rendering or recalled some APU details and saw numbers labeled as APU instead of CPU/GPU. The 2700 might have featured a Ryzen+ APU with Polaris cores, which could have had a Zen 2 chip. Currently it seems I might have stayed up too late and misread something. The 590 model is no longer available and hasn’t been for a while. It was phased out before the 580 because it competed well with lower-end 5xxx cards. (One issue with newer models is they cut corners on PCIe.) Maybe the other specifications for the RX590 are incorrect. Polaris predates Vega. Updated August 27, 2022 by Bombastinator
