Prior to switching to an Rx 580, you could successfully overclock your monitor using the NVIDIA control panel to a 75hz setting on AMD, while the AMD settings refused to allow it due to compatibility issues with your display. However, this worked with NVIDIA but not with AMD.

Have you explored changing your monitor refresh rate within the screen resolution advanced settings? You mentioned adjusting it from 60hz to 75hz. Follow the link after right-clicking on your background-screen resolution-advanced settings-monitor. Success!
