I have been having trouble turning on my computer no matter what I try. At first, the screen flickered a lot, but if I turned off the Intel HD display adapter driver, it stopped flickering! Next, I just updated the driver by choosing "let me pick existing driver" and it installed successfully. Then I could use my PC again. But now I can't even reset my computer; it shows a blue screen. So how do I disable this specific driver using command line? Thanks so much 🙏🙏

Welcome to our forums! Since we are new here, it's important to have all your computer details ready. When you start a troubleshooting thread, please list everything about your setup like this: CPU, cooler, motherboard, RAM, hard drive or SSD, graphics card, power supply unit, case, operating system, monitor, and how old the power supply is (without saying make and model). Also, tell us what version of BIOS you have on your motherboard right now. Why do you need to update a driver? Which driver did you install? Let's assume you are using Windows. Can you try starting in Safe Mode?

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop and here is what I have: an Intel Core i5 processor that is one generation old, an NVIDIA graphics card with 2GB or 4GB of video memory, 512GB of fast storage, Windows 10 Pro. I am really broke so I can't buy a new laptop right now. Please help me 😭 Edit: Also, I tried to turn it on into safe mode but it just crashes.

It sounds like a hardware issue. Look at the used PC market and check out those older laptops; you can find them very cheap now.

Attempt to restart the system first. If that does not work, we will have to reinstall Windows.

Every single thing fails, and a reset of the computer won't help either.

It sounds like something is broken with my gear. That's tough to deal with, I understand.

It's already reset. You can try using a system restore option instead of "Not reset." To fix this, start your PC by booting from the Windows installation media. Then choose the System Restore option when it appears on the advanced boot menu for Windows 10 or 11. For more details on how to do this, check the article at https://support.lenovo.com/ma/en/solutions/ht501548
