A few years back I bought a Sceptre C248B-144RN monitor and it performed perfectly for a long time. Recently, though, I started noticing strange colored lines at the bottom of my screen after a power cycle. At first they were just a few lines that disappeared after about ten minutes, but then they grew higher up the screen and persisted for several hours. Recently, after some deep thinking, I lowered the refresh rate from 144hz to 60hz and it worked fine again. I initially suspected the cable was the problem because the lines appeared only when using the PC, but after rebooting my computer while ordering a new cable, I realized the issue was with the monitor itself. It left me puzzled, and I’m worried about replacing it now since I can’t afford it before my wedding. No drivers are available online, and Windows seems to recognize me as up to date. Do you know of any solutions that might fix this without replacing the whole thing?

gently open her casing. eliminate the back panel to capture a picture of the display driver card. locate a suitable replacement online. these secondary cards are usually affordable and simple to replace. one ribbon cable, four screws, and a power low-voltage cable are linked to a site offering display components. i’m not sure what model number appears inside your monitor, but there are listings available. you can also use the live chat feature on those sites for guidance.

I'm sure to give it a shot and will bring updates if it succeeds.
