Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with one of my monitors. When I connect and power it on, it displays white, black, then fades between them before repeating. I’m using another monitor without problems, so it’s likely not the GPU. The quality is still noticeable. Could you help? WhatsApp Video 2024-10-31 at 19.59.34.mp4

I don't have access to specific details about the monitor's model or its condition. Could you provide more information or clarify what you're looking for?

It appears to be a well-worn display, quite an older model, a Bangho MBL2230W

It might be due to driver problems with the windows, but if the other monitor works then it’s unclear what’s wrong. Another possibility is the PSU; since it seems fine on the second screen, the issue likely lies elsewhere. I checked the monitor and think it could be a good reason to replace it. There are often great deals on monitors, so keep an eye out if you’re considering an upgrade.

Have you checked your monitor on another device? It seems like it might be time to think about getting a new one.

That's clear. I understand. It seems like a fix might be possible, and I don't have another device to try.

You can use any video device—like a DVD player or cable TV—and it doesn’t have to be a computer. For a quick solution, inspect all connectors to verify they’re properly aligned and consider switching to a different video cable. If you’re comfortable with electronics, opening the monitor case might help; otherwise, there’s limited control available. Good luck!
