It worked smoothly on my i5-4430, the least powerful Haswell i5 I own. Frostbite handles well and operates effortlessly even with limited resources.

It seems there could be a mistake in EA's statement. If the i5 6600K was just launched, it likely doesn't meet the minimum specifications.

For example, BF1 mentions needing an i5-6600K or FX-6350, which are quite different in cost and performance despite being presented as alternatives. It appears they took isolated price lists from Intel and AMD and combined them roughly. Many believe any recent i5 or even i3 will work fine for the game.

Game stopped working when I tried playing on ultra. 4690k specs: 4.2 GTX 960, 4GB RAM, 1400Mhz, 8GB storage.
