The Minecraft FPS crashes on a high-end laptop.
I just purchased a new laptop about two days ago, preinstalled with Windows 10 home. I installed some games to test them out. Surprisingly, it handles high-end titles like MGS5 and Destiny 2 smoothly, delivering at least 200 frames per second. Minecraft performs better in less demanding scenarios but slows down significantly when there are more mobs, lots of blocks, or farming activities—dropping to around 60 FPS or even 40 FPS.
My setup includes:
- GeForce RTX 2070
- Intel i7 9750H
- 16 GB RAM
It has sufficient memory; I even ran Minecraft with 8GB in the launcher instead of the default 1GB. The only additions are a Hypixel Skyblock addon via Forge and a texture pack that alters a few item textures, using OptiFine version 1.8.9. Vsync is off, and the game loads chunks at about 9 chunks per second.
