Hi, After installing a stable Windows 10 laptop, I also upgraded my main PC. Similar to what I did with my laptop, I encountered problems starting Edge. Each time I launch it, I receive the error about the trial expiring. Also, Windows Update isn’t showing up in the Control Panel. I’m using Windows 10 Pro. Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks!

Check if Windows 10 Pro is properly activated—you can verify this through the Control Panel or System settings. I’ve faced similar problems; I’d avoid using Edge and prefer Chrome or Firefox instead.

Windows is enabled. My device ran a DreamSpark-provided Windows 8 license via my school, which I upgraded to versions 8.1 and 10.

I might attempt to reinstall W10 if it's feasible; otherwise, I'll revert to W8 because W10 is newer and causing problems. These minor hiccups often come with quirky solutions.

Is the shop open? If so, you may need to start it and wait while it refreshes your apps. As far as I understand, updates for edge are handled through the store, which could resolve your issue.

Store access is possible but an error occurs during app updates. Only MSN Food & Drink and Reader appear in the queue.

Reset the Windows Store cache by following these steps: 1) Shut down everything 2) Click the Start button and choose "Command Prompt (Admin)" 3) Enter WSReset.exe and press Enter 4) Launch the Store, then click your account in the top-right corner (beside the search box) 5) Pick "View Account" and confirm login, after that try opening Edge again.

I performed that action and when I accessed "View Account," it indicated my Edge session had ended. Changing the default browser to Chrome helped, but the problems with Edge persisted.
