Hi,
I've tested three different earphones with mic headsets to use as a microphone on my PC, but none of them capture my voice. The microphone bar moves when I tap or place the earphones on any surface. I've tried updating sound drivers, removing and reinstalling them, enabling microphone access in privacy settings, and adjusting microphone properties. Despite these efforts, I still hear static noise instead of my voice. Can you help me understand why?

When the headset/mic combo uses just one wire, you'll need a splitter to link it with a standard PC that has its own headphone and mic ports.
