The mic malfunctions unexpectedly during gameplay in Escape From Tarkov.
Hello Everyone, My microphone stops working unexpectedly during gameplay in Escape From Tarkov with friends. We rely on Discord for communication and everything functions normally until the mic suddenly fails. I've tried reconnecting to the call and restarting Discord, but it doesn't resolve the problem. The only solution so far is disconnecting the headset from the USB port and reattaching it. I suspected a hardware issue with the headset, so I borrowed one from a friend. Today I faced the same situation and don’t know what’s causing it. The headsets I’ve tested are Logitech G Pro X (wired) and Corsair Virtuoso XT (wireless). Any advice would be invaluable! Thank You! P.S.: The problem appears to originate from my PC, not my laptop yet.
Consider alternative USB connections. Avoid the front panels, opt for the rear ones.
I've checked the rear components and experimented with different ports, but the problem continues.
Other Tarkov players face the same trouble. I think the issue stems from Tarkov itself rather than Windows. EDIT: The problem appeared to be triggered by Palo Alto's Global Protect VPN, which also caused my GPU driver to fail. I confirmed this by checking the Event Viewer and searching for NetBT error 4311. It showed a Mac Address associated with the VPN. The VPN adds a network adapter during setup. After removing the VPN and the adapter, the issue disappeared.
You're facing the same issue. To remove the global protect VPN and its network adapter, follow the steps carefully. If you're just starting, take your time and read each part clearly.
