Hello, everyone! I've attempted to overclock my I7-7700K slightly. With the Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED, it's not the best setup for this task. I achieved maximum temperatures between 80-84°C at 4.4ghz. I understand these numbers aren't great, but are they acceptable?

I ran the Intel processor diagnostic tool for stress testing.

As long as it's just running in the mid-60s, everything is okay. In the mid-80s, however, the CPU lifespan would be reduced.

The temperatures are a bit high; for better results, consider a cooler with lower heat output. I’d recommend a quiet dark rock pro 4 or noctua nh-d15 since the 7700 tends to get too hot. For regular use, a model in the mid-70s would be more comfortable than a mid-80s unit.

Thank you for your feedback! Your current temperatures during gaming remain within acceptable limits, staying between 65°C and 84°C. They don’t reach the higher levels you mentioned. For the future, upgrading to a cooler would be beneficial, but right now it seems manageable. Would you consider lowering your CPU clock to 4.3GHz or even 4.2GHz as a precaution?

The recommended operating temperature for your i7-7700K is 100°C, but it's not advised to let it reach that level.
The typical core temperature range is as follows:
Temperatures above 85°C are not suggested.
Temperatures below 80°C are considered optimal.
Keep in mind that core temperatures change with the room temperature, and the standard for "normal" is 22°C or 72°F.
