Hey everyone, I'm facing a puzzling issue here and need some fresh thoughts. I'm setting up a PC for a friend who’s just playing LOL, so I got him an MSI A320M PRO VD/S motherboard with Windows 10, an Athlon X4 950 CPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, a Corsair Vengeance RAM module (just a temporary fix while GPU prices are high), plus an SSD and HDD. But as soon as I power it on, the VGA light turns on and there’s no video output at all. The weird part is switching to a GTX 1050 Ti works perfectly. My Radeon R7 240 also has the same problem. I’ve installed Windows, updated everything, and checked all drivers—still nothing. Now, when I boot into BIOS and disable Secure Boot or enable Windows WhQL support, I see an error saying the GPU doesn’t have a GOP. After that, pressing F2 fixes everything, but pressing F1 after the error brings me back to BIOS with all settings lost. My goal is to avoid constantly changing graphics cards. Any suggestions? (I can’t flash the BIOS since it’s an OEM board with Windows installed.) Thanks!
The board requires three PCI-E device compatibility updates. Please visit the provided link for details: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/A320M-PRO-VD-S
Yes, avoid downloading the OEM loader or BIOS for older versions since newer ones are available.
Hey everyone, I'm completely confused about how and why this happened. I tried some BIOS settings and changed things like disabling Windows fast boot, turning off Windows Qualcomm support, Secure Boot, and switching to UEFI. I also disabled the startup logo. Now everything seems to work! I really don't want to change any more GPUs because I've done this many times already and I don't want to risk damaging one. Thanks for your help, everyone! I just fixed it by accident. Appreciate you all!
