The MacBook Pro loses connection to your home Wi-Fi unexpectedly.
Hey everyone, here's a (at least to me) pretty odd one. Recently I've changed the SSID on my Asus RT-AC86U router on both the 2.4 and 5GHz bandwidths. From that point it looks like that only my Macbook Pro (connected to the 5GHz) randomly disconnects. No other device in the house drops the connection and my Macbook does fine on every other network that is not that one. I did restart the router and the laptop and made it forget the wifi network but that didn't do the trick. I still have to test if it does the same thing on the 2.4. Does any of you have a clue about what's going on? Thanks!
I also use a MacBook. I just restarted the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapter, and everything worked afterward.
Sure! Could you clarify which adapter you're referring to? I need more details to help you properly.
Attempt to create a 5GHz SSID that operates exclusively in the 5GHz band. Check its stability. If it functions well, the issue probably lies with your Mac or router attempting to balance between 2.4 and 5GHz based on signal quality, causing misalignment.
