The M.2 Wi-Fi connection is not strong enough.
I recently assembled a new PC using an ASRock B650M Pro RS without Wi-Fi. After connecting everything, my system finally joined the network but received a weak signal. Other devices work fine with strong connections, yet my PC struggles to pick up any signal at all. Is the antenna issue causing this problem? I’m unsure where to begin troubleshooting. I live in a shared apartment with limited Wi-Fi, so I can’t adjust the router settings. The issue seems specific to my own device.
Visit the official Intel website to obtain the drivers for your AX210 Wi-Fi adapter.
Check if it's using 2.5 or 5GHz frequency. Experiment with antenna orientation (adjusting manually). In extreme cases, relocate your PC or move away from the access point. Keep the antenna and access point far apart, particularly near obstacles or metal objects.
I attempted to link to my mobile hotspot which helped improve speed, but connecting to the router’s Wi-Fi remains difficult due to weak signal. Tips to boost the signal so your PC can receive better include moving closer to the router, adjusting antenna settings, or using a Wi-Fi extender. Since you placed your laptop near the PC, the stronger signal might help a bit.
Consider relocating the antenna by shifting it farther from the wall or raising its position. If the PC placement hinders signal quality, the only option may be to move the device itself.
I’ll check if buying a desktop antenna matters for the brand or if you can pick any option.
