The M2 SSD vanished abruptly following a game crash.
The situation most likely points to the SSD failing, which led to the game crashing. It might also have been due to overheating; in severe cases, the system could power down completely. Would it work again after leaving the PC idle for some time? Probably not, as it’s likely permanently damaged.
It seems the SSD isn't working anymore, so I'm going to stop trying. Time to get a new one.
Likely inexpensive or many SSDs around 10 years old are selling out, probably purchased in the same month years ago. Probably due to Black Friday.
I believe it stopped working. Others said letting it rest overnight might fix it, but mine isn’t responding. It’s odd too—since I started playing Darktide about six months ago, it suddenly explodes.
It might have been a friend who bought it because it was inexpensive. The brand is teamgroup, which I haven’t heard of before. I’ve been using that SSD for a year and it hasn’t failed like this. I’m planning to replace it with another SSD but won’t compromise on quality. Damn!
I managed to fetch the data from a dead SSD by disconnecting it for about 15 minutes and then trying again. If it comes back, collect what you need from it.
I tried that but it didn’t appear. Perhaps I should just discard it and get something else. Thanks for the response.
