This system has operated reliably for roughly a year now. Early this morning I experienced a bit of concern—I typically leave my PC running continuously. Upon waking, I noticed it was trapped in the BIOS setup. After some basic checks, everything seemed functional except the C drive (Samsung 980 Pro 2TB), which failed to appear even in the BIOS. I was anticipating a lengthy troubleshooting process, but simply shutting it down for a few hours resolved the issue. Here are the full specifications: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/QvwTRK My concern is whether anyone understands why this occurred. Are there any steps I should adopt to prevent a similar situation? I’ve encountered problematic M.2 drives before, but this particular problem hasn’t happened before. For now, I’m focusing on backing up important data from the C drive and hoping for a smooth recovery.

Capture a screenshot of the drive or secure your files promptly. Also verify whether your 980 model is among those impacted by the firmware problem they experienced.

I'm not confident about capturing the entire drive image yet, but I'll explore that option. Also, let's consider the possible firmware problem. Thanks!

If it isn't being picked up through the system, I worry it may be lost forever. However, depending on your location, you can contact Samsung directly or file a local warranty claim.
