I just moved to Windows 10 home and started playing forgotten hope secret weapons in Battlefield 1942. It’s a modification to the game, and at certain angles I experience low FPS ranging from 3 to 14 mainlly when viewing buildings or many vehicles. I haven’t encountered this issue before until I switched to Windows 10 home. My system specs are: Windows 10 64-bit, AMD Ryzen 7, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1080 TI, and two monitors connected. I suspect the problem might be related to the Windows 10 home updates. I’m unsure about the GeForce updates or settings and would appreciate any advice.

AMD ryzen 1800x 8 core processor at 4.02 ghz
I'm uncertain about the RAM speed.
The game is from 2002 and has been running well until I upgraded to Windows 10 home with the same system specs as before.
I've never experienced this issue with professional versions.

I purchased a new power supply and a new video card, but the same issue persists. My software tests on the hard drive, RAM, and video card all came back positive. I formatted my computer and attempted various tasks, though I can't recall what I tried. Here is a detailed benchmark result for more information: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/44789808?

I discovered the fix and resolved the issue—it was a straightforward community patch for older games that should benefit others. Check it out here: https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371

The original program for performing that task is named Large Address Aware(laa_2_0_4.zip).
I applied it to Skyrim LE, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Oblivion and Mass Effect among others.
Without it I wouldn't have been able to modify those older titles.
It clearly indicates the need for 4gb ram instead of 2.
I started using it on Skyrim during its initial release week because some assets loaded without textures.
Steam removed it with each update until Bethesda included it in the executable.
GOG also supported it for older games.
