The Logitech F310 controller has stopped functioning. I'm at a loss for solutions. Anyone have suggestions?
About a year ago, I purchased a Logitech F310 controller from Best Buy or a similar store and it functioned perfectly right away. Over the following days, it operated without any issues. Recently, I unplugged it because the cord got tangled with my headphones cable, and when I reconnected it, there was no chime that I usually hear when inserting a new device. I verified through Device Manager, printers, and other settings that it wasn’t listed there.
I tried flipping the x/d input to see if that could be the cause (though I had no idea why), restarted my PC multiple times, and downloaded the driver from Logitech’s website, which indicated it didn’t recognize any gamepads (LGS510). This led me to suspect faulty hardware—possibly a damaged component inside the casing. I then tested it on another computer, which confirmed it worked there.
I considered a faulty port, testing various ports but finding none functional. I removed my mouse, keyboard, and headset, plugging the gamepad into each slot, yet it still worked. This suggested my USB ports were intact.
Eventually, I contacted Logitech’s support team, who guided me through all the troubleshooting steps and concluded the issue was with my computer, not the controller itself. While I was convinced, I still wanted to share my experience in case someone else faced a similar problem.
