I powered off my PC and the DRAM indicator lit up instantly. No action seemed to take effect even after swapping RAM modules in different slots. I drained the CMOS battery for half a minute and reinserted it. Attempted a BIOS update and the light flashed twice before stabilizing. System details: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus, G.Skill Flare X5 32GB (2x16GB), DDR5 6000 XFX Speedster Qick, 319 cores, RX 7800 XT, Kingston KC3000 2TB, MSI MAG A850GL.

Hi buddy, Other things to try as follows: 1. Remove and reseat CPU & Cooler. If you have a poor contact with the CPU and socket pins then the Ram won't be correctly detected. Just make sure things are secured down with the correct pressure. Might be worth checking there's no detritus or bent pins when you've got it off. 2. Check there's nothing between the chassis and mobo that might be causing a short. Its a bit of a ball-ache but sometime a bench-build is a good idea. Just strip everything out and build the PC out of the case on your kitchen table. 3. If the above doesn't work, do you have another PC you can use to swap things in and out of? Always handy having a box of goodies or a doner PC for troubleshooting.

I just did the CPU and it didn't work. There is nothing behind the motherboard. I don't have spare parts the parts that I have are all to old

Through several tests I believe the issue lies with my GPU since the system starts without it during long memory sessions but remains stuck on the DRAM indicator once it's reinstalled. Also, using an older GPU resolved the problem.

As mentioned, the problem seems to be related to the GPU. Please try using only one RAM stick and test each one separately in all slots. Begin with slot A2 as indicated in your manual.

Confirming the basics: are you connecting two x PCI-e cables from the power supply, rather than routing through a single cable where only one end is disconnected? Both cables should have the +2 connector on each side.

Suddenly the computer restarted using the GPU, but I don’t know how or what caused it. I started from Windows with the built-in graphics card and just kept trying until I managed to put the GPU back in for about eight days before it worked again.

It might have been a GPU that wasn't properly seated before (occurred 7 times). A few tolerance issues could be causing the problem, making it harder to fit wider cards. Regardless, enjoy your setup!

Once I repositioned the CPU, I reinstalled the cooler using the old paste since I ran out of thermal paste. I had to take the GPU out again because the case didn’t have much room, and I was hoping it would function properly once I put it back in.
