The Lenovo laptop is running slowly.
Task manager indicates memory usage near 44 and disk activity around 2 CPU cores, mostly around 20 but fluctuating unpredictably. The task bar doesn't appear after a few minutes of inactivity; quitting attempts to load content don't cause crashes. Lenovo 81x1 runs without issues when Raid Shadow Legends loads, though some pages remain inaccessible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Have you ever disabled any startup processes or services? Please share the details. The specifications are noted. Edit: I’d likely use Chris Titus Tech’s debloat script, and I support a clean install of Windows if you’re comfortable with it. Edited March 14, 2024 by NikolakiH
Save your files using a USB drive. Visit the support page at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...c3b507420d For when your installation media is prepared, turn off the computer and boot from the USB. Follow the setup instructions carefully; when prompted for installation location, choose a custom option. If asked about installation type, I usually erase all current partitions. *WARNING, back up your data first so you end up with just one unallocated space.* Proceed to the next step. For more detailed guidance, numerous online tutorials and videos are available. I generally skip BIOS updates on laptops that aren’t covered by warranty unless there’s a clear security issue requiring a BIOS fix.
