earlier today my left shift stopped working for around 20 seconds before it started again. now it’s stopped completely and seems broken. I removed the key and used an air duster underneath, changed the USB drives, restarted the computer, updated the drivers. At first I didn’t have Razer Synapse installed but installed it and toggled the key on and off. So far nothing has helped. Is the key completely dead or should I try something else to fix it? I own a Razor Blackwidow Elite that’s been used for about a year.

Attempt a clean boot to determine if it resolves the issue—follow the guidelines carefully. Ensure no Microsoft services are disabled or Windows won’t load properly. If the problem disappears, it likely points to a startup program. Run several restarts and test each stopped application to identify the culprit. If that fails, proceed to safe mode by navigating through settings, update & security, recovery, and selecting the appropriate options.

it could simply be a faulty key or switch.
test it on another device to check.
if the problem persists, it might be a software error from the earlier system.
if not, the issue could lie elsewhere.
