I checked for updates on Windows and saw a reference to the "creators update." I clicked it, which downloaded the Windows 10 installer. It confirmed compatibility, so I upgraded. The installation ran smoothly for a short time but then crashed after roughly half an hour, failing to boot again. Could this be due to an incompatibility? I’m using an i5 760, Rx 470, and 12 GB DDR3 RAM.

Certainly! The crash likely caused your computer to stop working entirely.

Did it start up afterward? Did it power back on after the process finished? Was this part of the setup or have you already finished it?

Finished the setup. Worked okay briefly. Then it stopped. Now it won’t move past the login screen.
