I'm not aware of any graphical problems causing persistent smearing across the top half of your screen. It sounds like a display issue rather than a software glitch.

I’m curious about whether they’ll unlock access to the locked assets or keep ignoring the obvious issue. It feels awkward to program a game correctly, but it’s even more awkward to admit you had to compromise for parity.

You only see it with 2, 4 or 8x MSAA, meaning you need to pick water vs alising (unless you're using 1600p/4k).
