The latest ASUS MoBo bios update has caused audio ports to stop functioning.
Windows 11 (main) ASUS b450-f MoBo Ryzen 5 2600 CPU These parts are important, I’m almost certain the problem lies in the BIOS. I upgraded to version 4901, since my next Ryzen 5 5500 will need it. I double-checked compatibility and several sources confirmed it’s fine. The setup went smoothly, but audio stopped working on my system. It doesn’t work with Windows 11, nor does it on the Ubuntu and Mint versions I have elsewhere. In Windows 11 diagnostics, no audio devices are listed. For context, I use Creative Pebble speakers connected to the green audio port on the motherboard, plus headphones plugged into the same port. I can stream audio via DisplayPort and HDMI, but not through the usual audio connections. The issue started right after the BIOS update. I’ve rolled back to an earlier version, but the problem persisted. I also tried older BIOS versions, yet it didn’t fix anything. Is there a hidden setting in the BIOS that affects these audio ports I’m missing?
