The Windows 10 diagnostic utility reports a scanning issue. Event details show a scan in progress on a volume snapshot with a file system error reported by the shadow copy provider. Further investigation is advised. Logs suggest checking system and application event records for more context. A snapshot failure happened while scanning the drive. Consider performing an offline scan to resolve the problem.

During the idle period of roughly 1.5 hours, the OS ceased to recognize the drive again. After restarting, the drive became visible once more. Successfully ran chkdsk without issues and it reported no errors. This was the fourth attempt to execute chkdsk on that specific drive. Upon further investigation, I found that officially supported SSD upgrades are only available from Crucial. While brand differences may not matter much now, it’s worth noting.

It seems I've resolved the issue. The laptop required a BIOS update. After that, everything functioned correctly.

Following one successful use, the problems continue. It also affected my USB drivers. I had to reinstall them so one port functioned again and another stopped shutting down. The drive worked fine on another computer too, but still had the same issues. I’m trying to get it back.
