Hello everyone. My friends' laptop has been experiencing random crashes, and I'm unsure how to fix it. We've attempted a BIOS update, driver updates from the manufacturer, DDU uninstall, SFC/SCAN, DISM commands, and checked that temperatures are normal (80-90 degrees). The SSD was scanned with chkdsk, and the crystal mark reports look good. I have no other idea on what to do. Event viewer bugcheck codes are scattered, with minidumps showing mixed results—some say it's common, others claim it's serious. If anyone can assist, I would be very grateful.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! The link you shared isn't functioning properly. You might try another URL that connects to a site similar to DropBox. Are you experiencing a crash or BSOD? Which operating system are you using?
Laptop model: Legion 5-17ARH05H
https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sy..._5...H_Spec.pdf
Has anything changed on the laptop since purchase?
Temperatures are within a good range (80-90 degrees).
These readings apply to both the CPU and GPU.

The temperatures were recorded during load conditions, covering both CPU and GPU.
No changes to my understanding.
Running on Windows 10.
A crash refers to instances where the system experiences BSOs occasionally or completely shuts down without a warning.

NETIO.SYS Overwatch.exe WmiPrvSE.exe Netwtw10.sys AnyDesk.exe qbittorrent.ex You're observing these programs via WinDBG; consider removing qbitorrent and Anydesk. For networking drivers, reinstall the most recent one from Lenovo's support site. Where did you obtain the OS installer?

I'll remove those programs and check how it goes. I'll reinstall the network drivers and all vpn stuff. That installation is really old, but I'd rather do it this way if we stick with the install. If it's too damaged, I can help her restore the data.

If it's been so compromised, I won't assist in restoring the data.
If you haven't already, you're missing out on valuable time by delaying action. Ensure all mission-critical information is backed up.
I inquired about the origin of the operating system installer.

She doesn't have a USB drive she can use, so she'll have to do it when she's at her house. Are there any other things you think might cause an issue? Also, regarding the OS, do you mean where I got the installation from or something else? Because if it was preinstalled, I'm not sure about that.

It's time to perform a complete, fresh setup of the operating system and applications, including drivers. Stay updated with the latest from Microsoft—consider upgrading to Windows 11 as well.

Before proceeding, feel free to share any other thoughts—I'm happy to suggest something before the full reinstall.
