Hi, your old laptop seems to have performance issues after upgrading to an SSD and installing Windows 10 with AMD drivers. Even though it boots normally, it takes over a minute to start Windows. The AMD GPU drivers work just fine with Intel, but the GPU is still slow. You have an i5-2410M processor and a Radeon HD 6700M GPU. Since you can't afford a new machine and it functions adequately for streaming, you might want to explore optimization options or consider a more affordable upgrade instead.

Checking the AMD driver usually restores everything after a reboot, but it can cause temporary problems like a black screen or Wi-Fi issues on some systems. On your newer laptop, installing the drivers still leads to similar glitches. It seems these AMD driver issues are common and not always resolved immediately.

The remaining laptop specifications include a solid-state drive with at least 16 GB of RAM.

Sorry, the system continues to show a black screen before login and affects the integrated GPU drivers. Thank you for your understanding.

It's a SATA SSD model: AS340, 240GB capacity.

Why would I need 16 GB of ram?

Apparently, the AMD drivers cause the laptop display to freeze during shutdown. The ball rotation area also freezes, yet the machine powers off correctly.

Seems like the GPU could be malfunctioning or failing.
