Laptop: Zephyrus G14 GA401QE-DB71-CA
CPU: 5800HS RAM: 16GB SSD swap
During the SSD replacement, after opening the case and disconnecting the battery, the connector detached before the battery was removed. I unplugged it, adjusted the locking tab, reinserted it (it moved a bit), and continued with the swap. Once finished, I reconnected the battery, secured the tab, and tried to start the machine before closing the laptop. At that point, it stopped responding. After plugging in the AC adapter, the battery indicator didn’t light up. I switched the SSD out and reinserted the battery, then reset the CMOS by holding the power button for 60 seconds—no improvement. Throughout the process, static buildup was noticeable, and I discharged myself several times to reduce charge.

The device powers up, but its functionality depends on other components.

I can't verify if it's linked or not, but having the air conditioner on doesn't reveal anything.

It's a short, shaky segment that doesn't really enjoy being there.

Is the connection correct? Just because it’s plugged into the mains doesn’t guarantee it will start, as it might be set to draw power from the battery even without a physical connection.

This might look shaky... but hotglue is a fast, no-fuss fix. You've seen this a lot with premium audio equipment.

Make sure it’s connected correctly and remains powered on once the laptop is reassembled.
