You're using a Q9400 motherboard with a q9400 chipset. It boots fine when installing an OS on a different drive, but not on the original USB drive. You've tested various Linux distributions and different drives without success. The issue might involve driver conflicts or hardware compatibility.

Rufus, I can set up an OS and it will start the laptop, but not the PC. The laptop is roughly the same age as the PC, and it has a 2 GHz processor.
