The laptop restarts repeatedly after adjusting the CPU voltage.
Hi everyone,
My Medion laptop keeps restarting after I increased the core voltage.
I didn’t use anything extreme to overclock except Intel Extreme Tuning.
There’s an option to adjust the core voltage. I did that, pressed apply, it asked to restart, and I accepted, so it restarted.
The issue is that it keeps restarting—after about 5 seconds it starts again, and I can’t even access BIOS to reset because the screen doesn’t light up.
I’m pretty sure there’s no hardware damage, just a small increase of 0.05v. It seems like a safety feature prevents the system from fully starting.
I’ve tried unplugging it, removing the battery and holding the power button for 20 seconds to reset, but that didn’t help.
Anyone know what my next steps should be?
I've discovered it but it's difficult to access without damaging the seal that holds the back together. It has a colored plastic cover and two wires attached to it. I'm unsure how it's connected—should I force the wires out, and what should I do to reattach it to the battery? I'm not sure if it's safe to handle it with my hands or a screwdriver. Many questions, as I have little experience with hardware. If I return it with my warranty, will the manufacturer notice if I increased the voltage?
