This situation is really frustrating. I became upset when the repair shop told me they couldn’t fix it, even though I’d already tried several fixes myself. Before, I had completely disassembled the laptop and faced the same problem—no power, no response. I even removed the CMOS battery, plugged in the power cable repeatedly, and finally managed to turn it on after reconnecting everything. When I bought a new lid, I had to disconnect the ribbon cable and reassemble it carefully. After that, it worked again. However, when I tried to fix it further, the screen wouldn’t light up, and even after reassembling, it still wouldn’t power on. The shop inspected all connectors but found nothing wrong, then sent it to a warehouse, saying they couldn’t help. They told me it was a simple issue, but I’m worried about damaging the components again. I’m considering returning it tomorrow just to avoid further damage. Could anyone clarify what went wrong before? I’d really like to understand how to fix it properly so I don’t have to destroy it. Thanks for your advice.

I repeat that again because it seems like no one is taking my words seriously. The laptop is fully fine—nothing has been damaged. It operated perfectly until I took it apart. Please don’t say “maybe you fried it,” because if you think I’ve experienced the same problem before and resolved it, it’s obvious I haven’t. Sorry if I seem upset; this really frustrates me. I just want to know what’s going on. When I get it back tomorrow, I’ll try the residual power drain method several times, and this time I’ll keep the power button pressed for longer.

I’m really going to tear it apart, struggling with tiny screws when I’m upset, constantly trying to put it back together only to fail again, and it’s super frustrating.

Consider if the power switch is faulty. A fresh CMOS cell could also be a solution.
