The laptop isn't starting with Linux on HoloISO.
I have a GF75 Thin 9SC with a 4GB GTX 1650 and 16 RAM. The issue is that it doesn’t boot Linux, even though it claims support. I tried HoloISO but faced problems, and the BIOS no longer recognizes the hard boot mode. I want to install Linux again when I upgrade my laptop, but it keeps saying “Media checking…” and refuses to start. I need help fixing this so I can use the Linux Steam Deck OS 3.0.
No, I'm not attempting a dual boot setup. The BIOS does not have secure boot activated.
I set up Rufus, fetched the creator from GitHub using holoiso.iso, and placed the ISO file inside Rufus. I chose DD mode since it was suggested by the creator, and then started the process.
According to @10leej, consider trying an Ubuntu distribution to check its functionality.
Consider testing with another distribution instead. Steam can be installed on nearly any system, and you're looking for a straightforward experience with KDE Desktop. While there are some variations, it still aligns well with managing a Linux environment using standard resources and guides.
It seems you're confused about using something. Let me clarify! 😊
It functions, though I wouldn't suggest it unless you're familiar with Linux.
