The laptop is experiencing random screen issues and crashes?
It might be a corrupt Windows installation, often related to file system issues or problems starting up correctly.
The crash occurred again just a few minutes ago, and I’m certain it’s not related to a Windows installation problem. After performing a hard reset following the crash, I attempted to turn it back on, but it kept power cycling repeatedly. After about 7 to 8 cycles, it finally turned on, though it didn’t display anything. I also tried another hard reset and powering it up, but it still isn’t responding. Yesterday’s memtest86 completed successfully with no issues. So far, the motherboard appears to be failing. Interestingly, I can still manage the keyboard LED brightness and the cooler boost fan switch, but it doesn’t work at all.
It finally uploaded after several attempts, and I captured this video. But soon after it started running on Windows, it crashed again and again—it won’t post anymore. I’ll try once more maybe tomorrow, but it seems it’s almost at the end.
Well, it looks like I've identified the main issue.
Before, I ran memtest86 and everything checked out, so I ruled out the RAM as the problem.
But since the system wouldn't power on, I opened it up to take out the M.2 SSD just in case.
During that process, I found one of the RAM sticks had a badly warped sticker—something unusual.
Having built and repaired many laptops and desktops, I hadn’t seen a warped sticker before.
I removed it and the machine booted up successfully on the first try.
After a couple of days, I ran another test and everything passed.
Then I put the RAM back in, and it worked perfectly again.
In short, it’s probably the RAM or the memory controller that’s causing the problem.
