Hi,
I’m reaching out because I’ve been dealing with a persistent issue that’s been bothering me for about three and a half hours. It’s really annoying since it occurs without any clear pattern—it can happen after just 10 minutes, an hour, or even four hours. There’s no specific timing, and it doesn’t seem to be linked to any particular game or situation. My PC isn’t generating minidumps, so I’ll let you know if I turn it on to see if anything changes.

Event Viewer only shows two events: Event 41 (Kernel Power Critical due to unusual shutdown) and Event 167 (Hypervisor didn’t enable mitigations for side channel vulnerabilities).

Details about my system:
- Katana 15 B13VGK
- i7-13640H
- 16GB RAM
- RTX 4070 Mobile
- Windows 11 24H2
- 1TB SSD (no HDD)

Games where this has occurred:
- Dead By Daylight
- Deep Rock Galactic
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
- Don't Starve Together (so far)

What I’ve tried so far:
- Updated all drivers, from A-Z, every version available.
- Performed stress tests on CPU and GPU using Intel XTU and Furmark.
- Monitored temperatures; they never exceeded 75°C during a freeze.
- Ran RAM stress test for an hour—no errors found (43 loops via memtest64).
- Adjusted CPU voltage by changing Loadlines (started at 150, ended at 130 on both AC and DC).

Thank you in advance for any additional information. Let me know if you need anything else.

My PC isn't generating minidumps, if that matters let me know and I'll power it on to check. If the feature for saving minidump files isn't active, turn it on.

All drivers have been updated, from A to Z, covering every version I own.
What BIOS version is installed on your MSI laptop? Did you use an application to refresh your drivers? That could have triggered the issue.
"Undervolting" the CPU by shifting Loadlines 20 (began at 150, finished at 130 both AC and DC)
Have you also considered undervolting the discrete GPU?
Alternatively, you might attempt using DDU to eliminate all GPU drivers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install the newest GPU driver from Nvidia's support site via an elevated command—Right click installer > Run as Administrator.

Have you considered undervolting the discrete GPU as well?
I haven't tried it yet, but I can right now.
You might also attempt using DDU to eliminate all GPU drivers (intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install the newest GPU driver from Nvidia's support site via an elevated command, such as Right click installer > Run as Administrator.
Would you like me to find a tutorial for this? I'm not very experienced with all this, and I'm really nervous about making mistakes or damaging the PC.
