I possess an MSI GS43VR-6RE with a swollen battery. After replacing it yesterday, the device shows unusual startup behavior. I charged it briefly before powering it on to verify full capacity. Once started, it POSTs but shuts down immediately when reaching Windows. Power drops out completely. It works fine on AC power, displaying 100% charge. Disconnecting the AC adapter mid-use causes it to turn off after roughly 30 seconds. Remarkable that safe mode boots up with the AC adapter removed. Replacing the old battery didn’t cause problems. Since I can enter safe mode, there must be an issue between the new battery and a Windows component—please advise on troubleshooting steps.
