Laptop Model:
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3
Operating System: Windows 11
Screen issues:
The display constantly flickers, resembling a rapid blending or flashing pattern.
• Sometimes it pauses for a few minutes before resuming.
• This occurs regardless of power source.
Previous troubleshooting steps:
• Updated all graphics and display drivers (NVIDIA/AMD plus Intel).
• Applied the most recent Windows updates.
• Experimented with various refresh rates (60Hz and 120Hz).
• Modified power and brightness settings.
• Restarted multiple times, but flickering persists.
Questions:
1. Is this a connection issue with the display cable, panel, or GPU?
2. How can we accurately determine if the problem stems from hardware or software before taking it to repair?
3. Are there specific diagnostic tools or BIOS tests for Lenovo devices that could help identify the cause?

When the problem isn't visible on an external screen and the internal display cable is properly seated, it indicates a failure in your laptop's screen.

Is it included on the laptop's built-in screen? When you connect an external monitor, what happens?
