Just completed assembling my custom PC today. I accessed the BIOS and the mouse functioned properly. When using the keyboard, the lights activated but the keys didn’t register. Connecting it to an old desktop worked well, yet it fails on the new machine. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Specs included: motherboard MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 Micro ATX LGA170, CPU Intel Core i5-12600KF, GPU Radeon RX 6700XT, PSU Thermaltake Smart BM3 650W, RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB, case Thermaltake Versa H18, keyboard KLIM Chroma Gaming.

I’m planning to get this one today to check it out. I believed because it functioned on my previous setup, it should also work on my current one.

USB supports both power and data transfer. Your keyboard is getting power, which causes the lights to turn on, but the data isn’t reaching the computer. This might be caused by a faulty USB port, a loose connection, a bad motherboard, or an incorrect driver. The issue is identifying the precise cause and resolving it. Good luck!
