The key fails to function in Fallout: New Vegas with a Fujitsu Lifebook laptop.
i have a fujitsu lifebook a553/h
i managed to recover my steam account and reinstall fallout new vegas... but the tilde key doesn’t work for activating cheats. however, using the tilde in skyrim works fine since it’s developed by the same company.
i’ve tried a usb keyboard—nothing works. i’ve also used shift and tilde, but nothing changes. there’s a tilde on the top right of the laptop keyboard, but pressing it doesn’t help.
Consider that various areas may use additional characters on keys outside the standard positions found on a NA region keyboard. The region keyboard layout you're using on your Fujitsu laptop is what we need to know. A photo of your keyboard would be very helpful.
In Device Manager, under Keyboard, it shows Japanese PS/2 keyboard (106/109 key Ctrl + eisuu)
also mention that the down arrow doesn't function in the grub menu... i need to rely on a secondary usb keyboard to access the windows boot manager.
But the tilde key isn't functioning for activating cheats... however, using the tilde in Skyrim works fine (same game developer). It seems the ability to use the tilde key has been restricted or disabled. The developers might not have completed blocking this feature yet. Attempting to bypass these restrictions violates forum rules and policies. Please close the thread accordingly.
