A few weeks back, my Audeze Maxwells began having problems. Once the PC was powered on, they wouldn’t establish a connection. They would simply blink blue. Usually, turning the PC off and back on resolved the issue; as long as they connected once, they remained linked or reconnected promptly while the PC was active. After another reboot, the same occurred.

Currently, the headset disconnects during use. It sounded like a loss of connection while playing. The audio would fade and become distorted. Following this, the headset keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

I’ve reinstalled drivers and updated firmware. Even reinstalling Windows didn’t help. Recently, I built my new PC, but it’s been functioning perfectly for months. I checked the BIOS to rule out any unusual settings affecting USB ports, but found nothing unusual. The dongle is plugged directly into my motherboard.

I’ve also tested the Maxwells on my laptop, which are working fine there.

Anyone else experience similar problems? I initially suspected the Windows 25H2 update might be the cause, since it started after that release.

System details:
- Gigabyte Gaming X870 WF6
- Asus TUF Gaming 850W
- MSI RTX 5070 Gaming Trio OC
- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Kingston Fury Renegade PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD (nearly a year old)
- G.SKILL Trident Z5 Royal Neo 32GB 6000MT/s CL28
- Phanteks NV5 with Glacier One and D30 fans
- All components are brand new except the SSD.
- Connected to a wired network.
- Windows is fully updated, no failed updates. Running Windows 11.
- I performed a DISM scan and SFC/SCAN.

Host PC?
Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.
Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?
Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?
List of all connected peripherals.
Wired or wireless network?
Look in Windows Update History for any problem or failed updates.
Run the built-in sound troubleshooters. The troubleshooters may find and fix something.
Run "dism" and "sfc /scannow" - perhaps some buggy or corrupted files need repair.
Failing the above delve deeper via Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer. Look for any error codes, warnings, or informational events that mention audio, sound, Maxwell, etc...
Hopefully there will be some specific error code to be found.

I made changes to my post with additional details.
I’m unsure about how to look at the event viewer for errors.
