It's been nine months since I began searching for dual ECP2 vs single Threadripper racks, and still no good matches found. It's really frustrating that nobody runs two instances of Cinebench or similar just to get accurate performance numbers. I really want a dual ECP2 setup but seeing only single-core benchmarks is upsetting. Paying $3k for a system with just one socket feels unfair.

Threadripper appears to be a very popular choice. You're deciding whether to go with a single or multiple socket, and whether you need overclocking features.

Hey there. It’s cool you’re thinking about the dual EPYC—though it might be a big investment and hard to adjust later. When you get your hands on it, feel free to pass along so I can check out some performance numbers! (serious.)
