I put in a new motherboard with Intel I225-V Ethernet, but it doesn’t recognize my cable. I refreshed the drivers and updated the BIOS, yet nothing works. I’m hoping it’s just a hardware issue since you don’t know how much trouble this computer has caused me recently. Appreciate any advice you can offer.

Checked a different cable and port on the switch. Did you enable auto or 1Gbit mode? Are your chipset drivers ready? If not installed, chipset issues may cause problems.

Sounds like it is dead. Do you see any light on the RJ45 you plugged the ethernet cable to (on the motherboard)? If not, see if you can connect another device to see if the cable works, otherwise its dead.

I understand it’s functioning correctly. Although the cable I’m using is reliable, it seems to work only with this particular one connected to a specific device on the router.
