The iPhone XS fails to power on briefly.
Hi, I recently swapped out the back glass on my iPhone XS and was using metal tweezers because regular tools didn’t work well. While taking off a glass piece near the wireless charging pad, I accidentally shorted the coil. Smoke came out, and I got burned by the tweezers. When I tried to turn it on, it didn’t power up. After plugging it in, it booted up but only showed a very low percentage. I thought about letting the phone shut down completely before finishing, though it was still hot and hard to hold. Once it stopped working, I completed the repair. Later, when I tried to restart after plugging it in, the screen would briefly show the Apple logo before looping back. I managed to get it to the restore screen, but after restoring and restarting, it kept looping. If any of you have ideas—especially since I’ve seen this before—I’d really appreciate your input. I already shared this on iFixit. Submit Question
