Internet performance on my machine fluctuates significantly. It drops sharply to just 20Mbps for a brief moment, then plummets to 0.05 Mbps. This has been ongoing for the last three hours. The cause remains unclear. My phone experienced similar slowdowns yesterday, but now it’s down to 85Mbps. My brother’s PC is also affected, though less severely. It appears most laptops—since everyone uses Macs—are largely spared, while iPhones seem more resilient. I suspect the router might be aggressively managing bandwidth, redirecting it to specific devices at once. How should I address this issue?

Restart the router and modem to check if the issue resolves. If it doesn’t, gradually block individual devices from the network to identify the one consuming the most bandwidth.
