Hey, just a new user here. The site keeps loading random pages, but nothing seems to work properly. On Steam it mostly functions fine—servers load and I can play normally—but my profile pictures won’t appear. It says the Ethernet cable is plugged in and my phone has internet, though the PC does. I’ve tried resetting the proxy and other settings, but pings are normal and web sites don’t load. It feels like the issue is on the PC side.

I think you're checking network settings via the command prompt. The commands look like they release the IP, clear DNS, and refresh the DNS server.

Possible issue linked to a Cloudflare service outage approximately thirty minutes ago.

You might encounter DNS issues... consider adding more servers on your network card's settings Google public DNS : 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4 Cloudflare DNS : 1.1.1.1 (but keep in mind Cloudflare currently has some outages) OpenDNS : 208.67.222.222 and/or 208.67.220.220 If several are added, the first one is checked first and if it fails, the next one is tried. DNS translates the URL you type into your browser into the IP address needed for the server to connect and load pages. Your games usually function properly since game servers often use IP addresses directly without needing domain names; they simply connect to the server correctly. As others mentioned... remember that many sites rely on Cloudflare services to speed things up and reduce costs (in fact, when you visit a site, you're actually reaching one of Cloudflare's servers that caches content to make it faster for you). But today, Cloudflare appears to be experiencing disruptions or outages, which might make it seem like the sites you want to access aren't loading or working.

I’ll restart my computer to check if that resolves the issue, then attempt your fix if it fails. If not, I’ll purchase a replacement cable today.

The cable seems to be malfunctioning. If your online games function properly, the data travels smoothly through your connection and cables typically don’t fail suddenly. Restarting your computer probably won’t help either, since your ISP’s router or modem provides internet and caches information like DNS. If your ISP’s default DNS is problematic, a restart might refresh it, but if the issue persists, it could be related to services such as Cloudflare. Changing settings won’t resolve the problem if the core service is affected.

If it's a virus, check if your iPhone's website functions normally.

I resolved it! Restarting Win 11 likely fixed the issue, possibly due to a spyware or suspicious program affecting your connection.
