I was installing a program from an .msi file. When it reported completion, my laptop shut down automatically, and someone mentioned it was overheating. After turning it off again, I removed the original installer and created a fresh one with an updated version. It attempted to reinstall but refused, prompting it to ask for something else.

You seem to have installed something suspicious, possibly a virus that’s damaging your system. It’s odd the laptop shut down right after installation—unlikely due to overheating, but could be related. The online info matches a hacking tool for a Minecraft clone, which seems to fit your profile. Seek assistance on the Discord where you received it; no help is coming your way.

Locked status means we can't help you here. At this stage, the best action is to completely wipe your system and begin anew. Avoid using cracking or hacking tools.
