It really varies, but it shouldn't be much longer than a typical Windows setup. What's the point of asking?

It operates independently; you don’t need to do anything, just hit a few keys and it functions on its own.

Start by downloading the Windows 10 ISO file and the necessary support software. With a reliable internet connection, this should be quick—under 10 minutes. Once the download is complete, the installation process will follow the standard timeline, which might take around 20 minutes.

I just recall completing the free Windows 10 upgrade for my dad’s Lenovo A10 running Windows 8.1. The process felt slow, lasting well over an hour. He connected via a direct Ethernet link. His system still has a mechanical 7200rpm hard drive, which is unusual but not uncommon.

With the ISO ready, bootcamp will reorganize the drive, which may require some time based on the hardware, followed by the standard Windows setup.

This process involves preserving older Windows versions in the Windows.old directory and performing an upgrade. It requires significantly longer than a simple installation. Ubuntu accomplishes similar tasks efficiently. I recall using Ubuntu often, preferring fresh installs over upgrades because they were quicker. Op's Mac likely has a fast SSD, which probably means Windows will set up in under ten minutes.
