The installation process isn't working as expected.
my windows 8.1 180 day trial ended (180 because it was already rearmed) sorry, I wrote it in caps since everyone keeps saying just reram it even though I mentioned I had already done so. i went ahead and installed windows again on my empty 320gb hd to keep everything on my 1TB drive, but it kept saying it was a MPB drive or something similar and that on EFI it needed a G__ type drive to install windows. i’m really confused. i tried to reinstall it on my 1TB but got the same message. even though i had installed it on my 1TB when i first built my pc, i’m not sure what to do now. anyone have any advice or steps to fix this?
Start by launching a Linux installation, likely Ubuntu. Transfer your vital files to the secondary storage before powering off. After rebooting Windows, proceed through the setup process. When reaching the partition menu, erase all existing partitions and create fresh ones—possibly two if the drive exceeds 500GB. After setting up the new partitions, you should be able to install everything successfully.
