The installation of Ubuntu on your laptop is not working properly, and you're unable to reinstall Windows.
About a year ago I set up Ubuntu on my HP Pavilion X360 after a big mistake—locking the laptop without a key. It worked for a while, but now I’m facing serious Wi-Fi problems at school. When I try to reinstall Windows, I reach the drive selection and nothing appears. Yet when installing Ubuntu, the drive is always there. I’ve even tried installing Windows on the same drive as my main PC, but it still shows a no drive error. Could this be the locking issue or something else? I’m sure the drive isn’t damaged since I booted from another machine yesterday.
It seems the installer isn’t recognizing the drive. This often relates to the physical disk. Which Windows version are you installing? Do you have the exact model details? It might help to verify the BIOS settings to make sure RAID options are turned off. While HP is known for this, Dell sometimes does it by default. If it still doesn’t appear, consider showing the storage drive during installation.
Try turning off RAID first and check if it resolves the issue. If not, download the file and place it on a flash drive. During installation, look for an option to select a disk and choose "have disk" or similar. Point the drive to the extracted files.
