Hello everyone, I recently attempted to install an HDD on my computer. After turning it on, everything seemed to work, but there was no signal reaching the monitor or any BIOS activation. I searched online for troubleshooting tips and found several suggestions from others who faced similar issues. Now, after installing the motherboard, the system still won’t power up. I’ve tried various solutions and am running out of ideas, which is really frustrating. My setup includes a B550M motherboard, AMD 5600G processor, Radeon RX 6600 graphics card, and a 500 GB M.2 drive. Thanks for your help!

After setting up the HDD, take it out and check if the issue disappears. If it does, the HDD is likely causing the problem.

It wasn't the hard drive; I took it off and it still won't start.

Consider trying a factory reset or reinstalling your system to regain control.

Adjust the CMOS simultaneously while you're doing that.

If the system boots just fine without the HDD, then you have a bad HDD. This is one of the common troubleshooting things to look out for.

Quick update for boys: I swapped the power supply because it wasn’t getting power and wouldn’t turn on. After that, I pressed the Q-flash button on my motherboard in frustration, which sent a signal to my monitor indicating Windows couldn’t boot properly.
