I just updated all components except the HDD and SSD, here are the full details:
MBD: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2 x 16GB 3000mhz CL30
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
SSD: Samsung 870 EVO 500GB
PSU: Corsair RM1000x
I restored the BIOS to default and attempted booting from a USB with Windows 11, but every time I try I see a black screen with a single white underscore in the top left corner and nothing happens until I shut down the PC. I've tested various USB ports, monitors, and BIOS settings, searched online, but nothing worked. The BIOS is fully updated and the RAM functions properly.
Anyone have experience with this issue and can help?
The BIOS should be version 13 for the 7800X3D. It might be worth looking into the Flash BIOS Button feature on that board.
Pull out 4060. Remove all USB drives except the W11 USB drive. Install Win11. Then put 4060 in and install video drivers.
I just tried this as well. I removed a B2 stick of RAM, leaving only one 16GB in A2. The system displayed a message saying CMOS has been reset and prompted me to press F2 to run setup, which led me into the BIOS. I configured USB as the first boot option and pressed F10 to save changes, but it brought me back to the BIOS entry screen. When I pressed F11 during load-up, it took me to the boot menu, selected USB, and then returned to the black screen (showing a small white underscore line in the top left).
